Kompaktkurs Pneumatische Förderung: Frühbuchertarif bis 31. Juli

2-Tages-Kurs (17.-18. Nov, UK) zur pneumatischen Förderung von Schüttgütern. Lernen Sie von Experten Systemauslegung, Fehlersuche, Energieeinsparung und ATEX-Konformität für Dosierer, Förderer und Lagersilos. Frühbuchertarif endet am 31. Juli.
Early Bird registration is open. On 17 – 18 November we are delivering the short course Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials at The Park, Nether Langwith, Nottinghamshire, UK. This 2 day course will cover identification of components of pneumatic conveying systems, system selection and design techniques. The course is taught by experts Prof Mike Bradley and Dr Atul Sharma.

On this course you will learn:
  • Techniques for reducing product degradation during conveying
  • Ways to reduce maintenance, repair and unplanned stoppages to pneumatic conveying equipment
  • Methods of reducing energy consumption
  • How to troubleshoot problematic systems
  • How to eliminate blockages in pneumatic pipelines
  • Explosion Hazards including ATEX Directives
  • Operation and control of blow tanks
  • System selection and operation
  • Interfacing storage bins to conveying systems
  • Relevant case studies from industry

Program:
  • Introduction to pneumatic conveying
  • Troubleshooting
  • Designing out potential problems
  • Practical examples
  • Dilute and dense phase conveying explained
  • Selecting the correct hardware for your application
  • Matching appropriate feeders to pneumatic systems
  • Dust control methodology
  • Practical design considerations
  • Elimination of explosion hazards
  • Positive and negative pressure systems

Each delegate will receive copies of the course presentations plus the Wolfson Centre Pneumatic Conveying handbook, written by past and current experts at the Centre. This course provides an opportunity to discuss operational issues with the experts and to network with other delegates.
Don’t miss this opportunity.....register before 31 July for your Early Bird fee.

2-day in-depth course: Pneumatic Conveying System Design
2 day in-depth short course for Engineers involved in the design or troubleshooting of pneumatic conveying systems If you are tasked with designing Pneumatic Conveying systems, this course is designed for you. An advanced in-depth exploration of detailed calculations for design of pneumatic pipelines and specifying plant. The course will cover: * Lean versus dense phase – relative advantages in practical application, and applicability to different materials; * A detailed look at obtaining conveying information for the material to be handled, and how to scale this up for pipeline design; * Different equations for predicting pipeline pressure drop and throughput; * Stepped bore pipelines – how they enhance system performance and reduce problems, and how to design them; * Differences in powder behaviour; * A detailed look at bends; radius, pressure drop, wear, particle damage and material build-up; * Air humidity effects – psychrometry and moisture calculations, and controlling interaction or airborne moisture with the powder; * Practical details – choice…

Storing and Handling Powders and Bulk Materials
A properly designed storage or handling system keeps plant safe, reliable and reduces downtime as well as extending the life of equipment. We’ll cover the basics in operation, design and specification including an introduction to the storage and flow of bulk solid materials in hoppers, silos, bins and bunkers, feeders and feeding, hopper discharge aids and the prediction of discharge rates. We will also look closely at ways to determine the correct design for reliable discharge, including determining flow properties of bulk solids, hopper geometry and practical design considerations. The third day, an optional session in the onsite laboratories, allows delegates the opportunity to see demonstrations of equipment used to test storage and discharge conditions. Please join us on 21 - 23 April.

Online Kurze Kurs: Undesired Deblending in Processes and Equipment
2 x 3 hour sessions, delivered in English. Early Bird discount: £450 per person if your book before 31 December 2025 The issue of de-blending (segregation) of bulk particulates is one that afflicts many diverse industry sectors. For single materials and blended materials the presence of segregation within a process can be apparent as fluctuations in bulk density, chemical composition, shifts in size distribution or even unpredictable flowability issues. These types of problems invariably lead to the generation of waste through out of range product weights (tablets/ pack fill), poor processing characteristics or variable quality end products in general. This short course covers: * Identification of the most commonly encountered segregation mechanisms * Examples of how segregation has occurred in plant * Techniques that can be applied in plant design to minimise these effects * Different types of segregation will also be identified; air-induced, rolling, surface effect, percolation. Subjects covered During the course discussions will take place to highlight material types…
