„Precise dosing in a dozen“
This year, Process Control GmbH introduces its most extensive continuous gravimetric dosing system.
The XD12. A 12-element blender of the well-known X-Series, which sets itself apart from the market with its outstanding mixing accuracy and homogeneity. Also here, the well proven, high-resolution Process Control weighing systems and the angled precision dosing screws are used.
This new development is suitable for a variety of plastic applications and is ideal for the usage of a wide range of raw materials and additives. The XD12 makes necessary colour changes easier and saves the usually complex premix of materials if there are not enough weighed dosing hoppers available.
The XD12 can get used on twin-screw extruders, for example for compounding, as well as on single-screw extruders with an additional weighed downcomer.
Optional available with the favoured Gravitrol extrusion control system.
A simple, intuitive user interface is provided via a B & R touch panel. Likewise, integration into supervised systems is possible. Various protocol options such as Profibus, Profinet and Modbus are available for this purpose.
A detailed material consumption recording, as well as transfer and control options for all relevant data, such as engine speeds or current set and actual throughputs, enable problem-free integration into an Industry 4.0 surrounding.
The XD12, like all further XD-series dosing systems, can also be configured in high-temperature design or with special hoppers for bad flowing materials, regrind or powder.
Process Control GmbH will present the XD12 at the Fakuma 2018 in Friedrichshafen for the first time to a public audience.
