Our Copal team is very happy and proud to announce that we won the Innovation Awards Intralogistics in Paris last week.

Despite of the quality of its competitors' solutions, unanimously, the jury decided that the Best Innovation Award Intralogistics goes to Copal Handling Systems for its high-capacity automated container unloading solution for loose cardboard boxes. Responding to the shortage of labour in the logistics sector, it limits the physical work of repetitive or repetitive manual handling.

«Copal Handling Systems provides a highly sought-after automation solution for the unloading of sea containers whose loads are optimized to their maximum capacity manually in many countries, particularly in Asia. In Europe, unloading is a challenge. With this 3D vision solution combined with sensors and an automatic plug-in mechanism, de-stocking is automated,» explains Xavier Derycke, supply chain director of the Rexel Group.

«Since their creation, the Innovation Awards have rewarded operational solutions whose implementation and return on investment are quick and demonstrated in response to real challenges faced by supply chain managers, » said Alain Bagnaud, general director of theTransport & Logistics pool of Reed Exhibitions in France and Jury President.

Every year at the SITL in Paris, the Transport, Logistics and Intralogistics Innovation Awards reward innovative solutions that address the challenges of the supply chain, in the digital domain, the environment and sustainable mobility. Candidates' files are evaluated by a jury of major decision-makers, composed of supply chain, logistics and purchasing directors as well as university professors. Some weeks before the show, a deliberation takes place to designate the nominees and the laureates in 6 categories. Replicas of the head of the famous Delphi Aurige are traditionally given to the laureates and they were this year for the first time blue and translucent.
