Focus topics from research to application
29th ATC 2020 sets a spotlight on
- “Sol-Gel-Chemistry”: Sol-gel chemistry or chemical solution deposition can be applied to produce a wide range of materials from colloidal solutions. Discrete particles, e.g. metal oxides, polymers or hybrid materials are accessible. The development and use of sol-gel processes requires a thorough understanding of colloid chemistry, the choice of the right percursor, as well as expertise in drying and crystallization
- “Industrial Inorganic Chemistry”: From processing to analytics and the search for new solutions that meet sustainability requirements and address raw material bottlenecks, industrial inorganic chemistry requires the close cooperation of chemistry, material science and process engineering.
- “3D-Printing of inorganic materials”: Additive manufacturing and 3D-printing of inorganic materials opens a range of new applications. The variety of available materials and printing technologies allows for customization of solutions for diverse applications, but also requires a deep understanding of materials and processes.
High-profile plenary speakers
True to the aim of stimulating the exchange between industry and academia, lecturers from companies will alternate with lecturers from universities and research institutions. The following speakers have already confirmed their participation:

A forum for young researchers
Young researchers are encouraged to submit their work and use this event as a first class opportunity to come into contact with potential employers as usually more than one third of all attendees of the conference come from industry. A poster prize will be awarded.
