New fume extraction system ensures clean air for manual laser welding
Novus air GmbH presents mobile filter system for laser and welding smoke in two versions
With the NOVUS-Aircase series, the supplier of extraction and filter systems presents a mobile and space-saving solution for occupational safety during welding and laser processes. The new system was designed in particular for air pollution control during hand laser welding.
The novel solution from Novus air GmbH is offered both as a storage filter and cartridge filter system with a nominal volume flow of 1,200 m³/h, which can be used depending on the type and quantity of air pollutants generated.
The storage filter variant contains a combination of spark protection filter, pre-filter and particle filter of class F9. By means of an optional after-filter, a separation efficiency of up to 99.95% is achieved.
The cartridge filter system - also consisting of a spark arrester, pre-filter and particle filter - is suitable for continuous use with high pollutant loads or for separating large quantities of dry dust. The fully automatic filter cleaning ensures long filter service lives.
The constant volume flow control integrated in both versions ensures cost savings, among other things, because while conventional extraction systems cannot regulate the volume flow automatically, both NOVUS Aircase models constantly provide only as much power as is actually necessary for the required volume flow.
Another user advantage is the use of EC fans. In contrast to standard motors, fans with EC motors and integrated controllers have a significantly higher efficiency. They also have a lower weight, are infinitely variable, low-noise, fast-reacting and energy-efficient.
Both system variants are equipped with a 360° rotatable extraction arm for reliable spot extraction. This makes extraction during welding work even easier.
