The new Gericke GZD 200 feeder is a compact twin shaft unit developed specifically for low feed rate applications. This machine is particularly suitable for feeding both poor flowing and fluidisable bulk materials including products with a high proportion of fine particles. This feeder features a self-cleaning design with low pulsation even when operating at low rpm.
In order to improve process reliability and quick dismantling for cleaning this new small scale weigh feeder is equipped with innovative features including new shaft seals, integral intromitter and self cleaning surge hopper. The GZD 200 can also be equipped with the latest technology in weighing systems to achieve extremely accurate metering results.
Hygienic Construction
The GZD 200 feeder has fully polished surfaces with machined seal grooves which enable the components to be completely disassembled in a short space of time making the unit very easy to clean. This assembly complies with the requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industry standards with its modular construction.
The feeder covers a range of performance for 0.2 to 10 litres per hour to. The material is transferred into the twin shaft screw by means of a specially adapted intromitter and high precision feeding results can be achieved when dealing with materials with difficult flow properties.
Safeguard against external measuring disturbances
During gravimetric “loss-in-weight” feeding external influences such as vibration can affect feeding accuracy. In order to counteract these influences, the feeder can be equipped with air balance protection and low drag connection sleeves. The weighing technology introduced by Gericke can be setup quickly by means of calibration weights and the system is quickly validated using a check weigher and Gericke’s own test software. High short-term accuracies with minor deviation from the required set-point are achievable using the twin shaft feeder and the Gericke Easydos Pro feeding control system. User programmes and configurations can be downloaded from computer modules and the software can produce running and fault data for production analysis.
