Kidde Brand- und Explosionsschutz (KBE) is going to show its broad portfolio in the area of constructive explosion protection at this year’s LIGNA in Hannover/Germany again. From May 30 to June 3, the world-fair for forestry and wood industries, in the past mainly the forum for international exhibitors, opens its doors. In hall 27, booth J30 KBE will show systems for explosion suppression, explosion isolation and explosion venting which guarantee a high security level in the field of industrial wood processing. “Especially our systems for explosion suppression are designed for individual requirements in the forestry sector. They are necessary for plant components containing combustible substances and thus implicating an explosion danger”, explains Rudi Post, sales manager for explosion protection at KBE. Explosion suppression systems immediately stop evolving explosions by injecting an extinguishing agent within a few milliseconds. This ensures that any hazard, which might occur during the production of wooden materials and veneer, is eliminated before consequential damages arise.
The constructive explosion protection solutions prevent personal injury and drastically minimize the effects of an explosion. “We hope that our presence at Ligna 2011 creates a higher acceptance in the field of forestry and wood industries”, explains Rudi Post and concludes: “Even though explosion protection solutions are extremely important in this sector, we as an exhibitor only serve a very small category. With our presence we try to increase the safety-awareness concerning the field of explosion protection”.
