Malta’s promotion in the German market continued on 10th November with a business workshop in Munich organised by Malta Enterprise with the support of the German Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Malta in Germany. The workshop focused on the opportunities that Malta can offer as a business location, even for SMEs, and was attended by over 40 participants from a wide variety of sectors. The benefits of investing in Malta and the success that has already been achieved by German companies who have already set up their operations in the country were highlighted by Malta Enterprise’s representative in Germany and the Ambassador of Malta to Germany. Also information regarding the fiscal and tax environment in Malta were given by the Munich Chamber of Commerce and by Ernst & Young.
In his presentation Uwe Niekrawietz, managing partner of UWT, inspired the workshop participants with helpful information at first hand. Since the establishment of the subsidiary Adpro-Instruments Ltd. in Malta in January 2001 sufficient experiences were collected which provided the participants in this workshop valuable information. The support of Malta Enterprise from the start contributed significantly to the positive experience in Malta.
