In food production, there are various mixing tasks to be performed. For this purpose, mixers of differing designs are utilized. In order to satisfy the requirements of the customer, Reimelt, system supplier of process-technological systems for the handling of powdered, viscous and liquid raw materials, has expanded its portfolio with an additional mixer model, the HMF - HorizontalMixer for the Food Industry.
In the chemical and plastics industry the name Henschel stands worldwide for high competence in mixing technology. This know-how merged with the requirements of the food industry and this resulted in the new development of the Reimelt HorizontalMixer which will be marketed in the future by the Food Technology division and manufactured by the Henschel Mixing Technology division in Kassel, Germany.
The HorizontalMixer guarantees, through its design, an optimal homogenization of free-flowing dry materials of varying bulk density, from gentle mixing tasks with low energy input to intensive mixing processes. The mixing tools are designed to correspond to the mixing task, either plough-shovel shaped or as slanted paddles.
The compact design and available varying heights of the base frame ensure for a problem-free installation of the mixer – even with limited available space.
A quick and complete discharge is ensured through the large, pneumatically actuated discharge opening with cleaning valve as well as the positioning of the mixing tools. The mixer has no dead-space or detachable components in the product area. The large inspection opening allows for a very easy cleaning that meets the requirements of the food industry.
The HorizontalMixer can operate as a stand alone unit as well as an integrated component in an existing mix system.
