Today content measurement in smaller silos for building materials or within the feed and grain industries are still determined manually what is viable especially for frequent measurement cycles. The results are often estimated and not accurate at all. The new electromechanical plumb bob Nivobob 4000 was designed by the experts at UWT GmbH Level Control to fit those applications where price is the decisive factor. An aiming flange offers the option to install the instrument directly on the silo roof without any special mounting socket and can then cover ranges up to 30 meters. Two versions are available: a model with rope for dry products and one with tape for adhesive products. The latter provides an automatic tape cleaning system which protects the interior of the instrument from material pollution.
To avoid contamination of the electronics, it is completely separated from the mechanical chamber. The instruments are available for power supply with 230 V or 115 V AC and 24 V DC. Certifications for use in hazardous dust locations (ATEX/FM) are available.
Any material with a density starting from 300 g / l can be measured. An optional pin on the sensor weight prevents slipping or tipping of the weight in powdery bulk solids with a steep angle of repose. The menu navigation can be done in German, English, French, Italian and Russian language.
To cope with the harsh environmental conditions on the silo roof, the plumb bob offers an aluminium housing with protection IP66. Ambient temperatures between -40 and + 80 ° C are no problem. An optional weather protection cover offers an additional protection against weather such as rain water, condensation, excessive heating due to sunlight or extreme coldness in winter.
The Nivobob is an electromechanical plumb bob system which is optimised in price and performance for the use in building materials, animal feed or grain.
