Highlights at the exhibition for wet separation processes:
Wet separation and lixiviation processes involve very demanding conditions; where extremely abrasive and corrosive materials are typical. At the Bauma 2010 exhibition , Endress+Hauser introduces the worlds only replica of a mobile flotation cell and tailings thickener – called “The Mine on Wheels”. The rig demonstrates different measurements in the flotation and thickening process such as level measurement, thickened sludge density, pH-monitoring, mass flow and dosing. Process visualization and instrumentation are demonstrated over a P View SCADA package.
In addition to the special measurements of wet processing, the industry-specific package in-cludes a non-invasive ultrasonic measurement system called Prosonic S; a guided radar measur-ing instrument known as Levelflex M complete with abrasion-resistant cabling; a free-space level radar, the Micropilot FMR250, and for short distances, the FMR244. Also shown is a capacitance level sensor with cable and rod probe or Silocap S, which is used for higher tempera-tures, e.g. for hot aggregates in asphalt processes; the Coriolis Promass 83 I mass flowmeter with a single straight pipe as well as pressure transmitters from the Cerabar M family e.g. for pump protection with flush, abrasion resistant ceramic cell for pressure measurement in pipe-lines carrying a lot of abrasive solids.
The industry package is further strengthened with several new product additions including the Solimotion T FTR20, a non-contact, microwave-based flow/no flow detector for bulk materials.
