Having supplied more than 750 FFS packaging systems to date, Windmöller & Hölscher is an internationally leading manufacturer of machines for this segment of the market. They will be presenting their current FFS machinery program at Powtech 2009.
Core element of the W&H FFS packaging machinery program is the TOPAS. Owing to its versatility, outstanding performance and reliability, the TOPAS has become the most frequently used FFS system in the world for the packaging of standard and engineering plastic resins, PVC powder, chemical base and intermediate products, food and pharmaceutical goods, fertilizers, filter sands, wooden pellets and a lot more. Depending on the properties of the products to be bagged and the required output, different versions for varying output levels are available. For consumer product packaging applications, the TOPAS comes in a special version featuring a handle punch unit and edge sealing. Because of its compact design, the TOPAS lends itself to mobile operation at bagging terminals.
The DIAMANT is an extreme performance FFS machine designed for continuous operation at high speeds. Main applications include the bagging of fertilizers, chemical and petro-chemical bulk products calling for reliability and efficiency of packaging.
The OPAL is geared to handle powdery and non-free flowing products. It features an auger dosing system including gross weigher, and bottom up filling. Controlled conveyance of the product keeps air inclusion to the very minimum – an important requirement when it comes to the bagging of very fine, dusty products and products which tend to stick, bake or bridge and that up to now could not be handled with the FFS process.
The W&H high performance weighing system for the TOPAS and DIAMANT offers high output, reliability and precision in the weighing of free flowing bulk goods, it is increasingly used to upgrade existing packaging systems.
