The welas® digital is a flexible, powerful and economical light-scattering spectrometer system, which determines the particle concentration and the particle size precisely and reliably.
Using fibre-optic cables, welas® sensors – equipped with measurement volumes of varying sizes – can be easily attached to the welas® digital 2000 and 3000 and exchanged at will. These sensors make possible a reliable measurement in the concentration range from <1 P/cm3 to 10E6 P/cm3. The sensors are available for measurements in gases as well as in liquids.
Temperature range sensors: from -90 °C to +70 °C (standard), optional up to 250°C; (higher upon request)
Pressure range sensors: optional up to 10 bar overpressure (higher upon request)

The welas® digital is based on the light-scattering analysis of the individual particle. In the new welas® digital, the particular advantages of the well-known and internationally proven welas® system are combined with a new and quick digital individual signal processing and coincidence correction is made possible.

Advantages:
• Largest measurement range from 0.2 µm to 100 µm (up to 4 measurement ranges can be selected in one device)
• Calibration curves for various refraction indices
• Greatest concentration range from <1 P/cmł to 10E6 P/cmł
• Extremely high and repeatable counting efficiency starting at 0.2 µm
• High temporal resolution up to 10 ms
• Measurement in explosive environments

• Determination of separation efficiency of car interior filters, engine air filters, room air filters, compressed air filters, vacuum filters, cleanable filters, electrostatic precipitators, oil separators, cooling oil separators,
wet scrubbers, cyclones and other separators
• Isothermal and isobaric particle size and number determination, for instance in the automobile, chemical, pharmaceutical and foodstuffs industries
