The Super-Sens detector which is internationally renowned for its unmatched sensitivity, is now available for the fieldbus systems HART, Profibus PA and Fieldbus Foundation. LB 490/491 Super-Sens combines highest sensitivity with the advantages of the Uni-Probe detectors and can be used for continuous level measurement or density measurement as well as level switch. With a high- quality organic scintillator, which is considerably bigger than the ones commonly used, the Super-Sens gains an outstanding high sensitivity for gamma radiation. This property leads to extremely reliable measuring results - even under difficult measuring conditions - by using smallest intensities of radiation sources. Already existing sources can be used considerably longer when installing the Super-Sens detector. Thereby, an upcoming exchange of sources can be postponed by several years or even decades.
