Less than three years after the first sod was turned for UWT’s four storey office block, there is more building news on the horizon. On 10 July, the next sod was turned to overcome the acute lack of space; this time for a combined production and office building with three levels.
UWT’s agents, customers and not to forget the employees have advanced the success and growth of the company so that the current “new” office building was no longer sufficient for the requirements of the growing enterprise.
The new ecologically compatible building will be constructed using local raw materials and will offer an effective floor space of 2,600 square metres over three storeys. Built according to the passive energy (ultra low energy) standards, it is expected that energy requirements will be far exceeded! Pellet heating and a ventilation system with a heat recovery ventilation system and a solar energy system will supply the necessary energy to be self sufficient.
The production and office building will be connected to the existing production building and is planned to be finished by the end of 2008
