Improved performance, operating convenience, and reliability when weighing free-flowing products, from powdery bulk goods to pellets, mark the characteristics of the new W&H high-performance net weigher presented by German based machine manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher at interpack.
Bagging speed and accuracy of the filling weight are the decisive criteria to determine the commercial efficiency and profitability of bagging operations. These requirements, i.e. high performance and consistently accurate filling weights, were therefore given prime consideration in designing the new W&H weigher. Product feed, weighing vessels and weigher enclosure are made of stainless steel, resulting in longevity of the equipment, while at the same time eliminating the adverse influence of aggressive materials and facilitating cleaning. Large swing doors provide easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
The new development excels with a very high weighing accuracy. This is the result of self-optimizing weigher control and the special design and drive of the metering gate, featuring a fast-response servo drive with adequate torque reserve as well as position feedback for exactly reproducible weighing results.
Operation, control and monitoring of the weigher take place via the central touchscreen panel of the machine, which allows the operator to make the necessary entries and settings. The integrated recipe management software allows product change-overs in a few minutes.
