RETSCH Jaw Crushers for Primary Size Reduction

The combination of high final fineness and excellent crushing ratio in RETSCH jaw crushers helps to increase the efficiency of crushing and pre-crushing of hard and brittle materials for subsequent analysis or further fine grinding in laboratories and industrial plants. There are four different models of jaw crushers, from the laboratory-scale BB 51 to the largest crusher BB 300 which is also available as a process line version.
With feed sizes between 35 and 150 mm, the jaw crushers can achieve a final fineness of down to 0.5 mm, depending on the model.

Continuous gap width and zero-point adjustment:

RETSCH jaw crushers offer operational features which allow for reproducible crushing processes and wear compensation.
The gap width can be continuously adjusted so that a new zero-point can be easily obtained. Thus it is possible to compensate for the increasing breaking jaw distance due to wear. In contrast to crushers whose gap width can only be set in fixed steps, this zero-point adjustment guarantees the reproducibility of the crushing results.
Additional features such as a thermal overload protection switch and a removable feed hopper whose interior cannot be accessed by hands make the RETSCH jaw crushers safe and convenient to handle.

Breaking jaws are available in various materials thus allowing versatile applications and a long working life.
