The powerful PureFeed® AP  

Schenck Process is extending its core competency in the 500 g/hr to 150 kg/hr range. The PureFeed® AP auger feeder satisfies the stringent requirements of hygienic design.
The feed system is suitable for gravimetric or volumetric feeding of powders and granulates. It is used in the pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics industries for the feeding of mills, mixers, extruders and compounders.
Given the external non-intrusive agitation of its flexible feed hopper, the PureFeed® AP discharges the product gently, ensuring optimum bulk material flow. The penetration depth and frequency of the external agitation can be conveniently set to product specific requirements. The auger feeder is available in various geometries which can be easily adjusted to the application and also handle challenging feeding tasks. Pulsation can be reduced at low delivery rates thanks to the innovative “Wire Helix” auger geometry (patent pending). Feed hoppers of various sizes are available and even auger extensions are possible.
As with the PureFeed® DP, the ‘little brother’ of the PureFeed® family designed for low feed rates, all the parts of the PureFeed® AP are easy to clean. The stainless steel components that come into contact with the product are electro-polished and the flexible feed hopper is made from FDA-approved EPDM. As the flexible hopper is designed to be disposable , cleaning and the need for swab testing are reduced.
