MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad Test Bed

Druckversion Send this news to..

We stand up for increased safety and reduced wear

When train speeds are high, there are two crucial requirements: safety and minimal wear. Only perfectly maintained bogies ensure that these demands are met.
With MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad, Schenck is banking on safety through all around inspection. Electromechanically designed, the bogie test bed inspects the bogie using the so called spindle technology developed by Schenck. This novel feature increases repeatability and accuracy whilst reducing the maintenance expenditure.
The new technology ensures a high degree of repeatability whilst reducing the susceptibility to failure.
Positioning is more accurate. The automatic process with hauling equipment and fully automatic bogie centering eases the operation and provides added safety.
The remarkable accuracy upon RH/LH inspection is said to be another striking advantage.

Technical Data:
· Dimensions: l = 5.4 m x w= 6 m x h = 5.82 m
· Load generators in the upper portal: 250 KN max. test load
· Vertical wheel forces acquired with min. +/- 250 N accuracy
· Axis parallelism and spacings acquired with min. +/-0.3 mm accuracy
· Automatic adjustment to varying bogie geometries, e.g. wheelbase and wheel diameter
· Automatic measurement value report

Typical application: bogies of high speed trains ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3, ET 420, ET 426.
