The simple and reliable instrument to measure pneumatic conveyed solids.
Application:
The MicroFlow system is suitable for continuous measurement of pneumatic or gravimetic conveyed products in metal pipes. The transducer is mounted via a ½“ fitting and does not effect the product stream.
Principle of operation:
The sensor-face transmits a measuring frequency of 24 GHz into the pipe. This frequency is reflected by the single particles of the product stream.
Due to the use of a special algorithm the electronic supplies a signal which is proportional to the quantity of the particles which are passing the transducer.
The instrument is nearly independent from temperature and pressure and offers a typical accuracy between 2 and 5 % depending on the installation point of the tranducer and the flow profile. For larger pipe sizes and higher accuracy it is possible to average the signal of 2 transducers in one electronic. The microprocessor controlled electronic is easy to calibrate and displays the flow (kg/h) and the absolute amount of material (kg, t) simultaneously.
Typical applications:
- measuring and controlling of secondary fuel (coal-powder, sawmill)
- master/slave control of different product streams
- flow-/no flow control
- absolute flow measurement
